“COREPILATES”
Led by Jeanette Yates. Meets in Room 225
COREpilates is a beginning level faith-based Pilates class that provides an encouraging and uplifting exercise experience to those seeking to improve their health and well-being. We believe that through creating a strong spiritual core, we can build a strong physical CORE. We start with a brief devotion and prayer. The Pilates routines are fundamental in nature. They are suitable for all fitness levels. Please bring a mat if you have one. (Some of the movements require rolling on the spine. If your mat is thin, you might consider bringing a towel or some other item to provide more cushioning.)
“LET JUSTICE ROLL DOWN LIKE WATERS”
Led by Vince Kolb. Meets in Room 221
One of the great ends of the Presbyterian Church USA is “the promotion of social righteousness.” What is the Biblical mandate for doing justice? How is justice different from charity and mercy? How has this mandate informed great social movements in American history for greater fairness and equality? How does this call exist in tension with the Biblical call to “save souls”? Come learn how God is personal, but never private.
“JAMES: MERCY TRIUMPHS”
Led by Allison Turknett. Meets in Room 222
It is said that James can be compared to the prophet Amos and also resembles the Book of Proverbs. Join the women’s Bible-study group for this new Beth Moore study and explore topics such as joy, hardship, faith, reversal of fortune, humility and prayer through the eyes of James. Women of all ages are welcome! Everyone is welcome to try the class to see what a Beth Moore study is like.
