Sharing The Love Of Christ…

Sharing the love of Christ with others is a part of the mission statement of SJPC. Presbyterians believe that we are all called to be ministers in homes, workplaces, the community, and the world. SJPC supports a number of important outreach programs – locally, nationally, and globally. In addition, the Sunday announcements and monthly newsletter – “The Scroll” – announce frequent opportunities for more “hands-on” involvement in mission and outreach. SJPC needs everyone’s time, talents and service in its ministry.

Fellowship opportunities such as Wholly Wednesday dinners and Sunday morning coffee hour are provided for the congregation and visitors.

Prayer Chain facilitates prayer requests passed along confidentially via telephone for those who wish to have prayers for themselves, other persons or circumstances.

SJPC’s Presbyterian Women are organized into several “circles” that meet monthly for Bible Study and fellowship. The circles meet during the day and in the evening. All members meet together in January, March, May, September and November for the PW Gatherings. PW also sponsors the annual Mother’s Day Luncheon in May, the Saturday before Mother’s Day.

In addition to these opportunities and others led by the Congregational Care Committee, opportunities to volunteer in church life are bountiful. Some include ushers, musicians, greeters, nursery and kitchen workers, Sunday School teachers, youth leaders, small group leaders and many other roles.
