Fun In A Christian Community...

South Jacksonville Presbyterian Church has exciting programs for children and young people. All members have a responsibility to help raise the children and youth of our church and to make their friends and visitors feel at home. The church’s love, care and education help guide children along the road of life now and in the future when they are adults.

SJPC nurtures infants and toddlers in a safe and caring nursery. The nursery is open for worship services and virtually all other church activities.

Young children who have “graduated” the nursery are encouraged to attend church with their parents as well as our special “Children’s Church” program. Sunday morning worship services include a brief “children’s message” when children join the pastors at the front of the church for a special interactive time.

SJPC shows its devotion to children through its Preschool, Sunday School, Wednesday evening programs, children’s choir, Vacation Bible School and many other regular and special events.

Older youth meet regularly with adult leaders and mentors during Sunday School and on Wednesday or Sunday evenings. Currently, middle school youth (6th to 8th grade) meets on Wednesday evenings and high school (9th to 12th grade) meets on Sunday evenings. Through classes, bible study, meals, recreation, outings, travel and mission opportunities, SJPC’s young people and their friends have fun in a Christian community.

Vacation Bible School

We are inviting all children to be a part of our VBS Beach Party. It is going to be a blast! With this beach-themed VBS, everyone will visit an exciting beach where they will learn the basics of surfing, ride the wave of God’s love, and go home with a new “Beach Be-Attitude.”

Be obedient, be kind, be forgiving, be bold, and believe are the essential “Beach Be-Attitudes” that, through Surfin’ Scripture teachings, will be the basis the children's VBS beach outing.
