Music >You Are Invited...You are invited to be a part of the Music Ministry program at South Jacksonville Presbyterian Church. You will receive vocal training and will actively participate as a worship leader in an atmosphere of joy and acceptance.
Most of the choirs are currently on summer break. Praise team and Chancel choir are still meeting for Wednesday practice. Please see below for our regular schedule... Cherub Choir (ages 4, 5 and 6, including first graders). The Cherub Choir meets on Wednesdays from 4:30-5:15pm in Room 224. Children’s Choir (grades 2-5). The Children’s Choir meets in the Music Building on Wednesdays from 4:30-5:15pm. Chancel Bells (youth and adults). The Chancel Bells rehearse on Sunday evenings at the back of the sanctuary from 6:00-7:00pm We need 10 dedicated ringers as well as substitutes. We have two openings for ringers. If you feel you can join us this season please come practice with us. Middle School Youth Ensemble (grades 6-8). Will meet on Sunday nights from 3:45-4:30pm in the Marks Music Building. The focus is on individual vocal development, reading music, singing parts, and providing monthly musical leadership for the 11:00am service. Senior High Youth Ensemble (grades 9-12). Will meet on Sunday nights from 4:45-5:30pm in the Marks Music Building. Chancel Choir (adults). The Chancel Choir leads the music at the 11:00 a.m. worship service. Chancel Choir practice is on Wednesday nights from 7:15-8:30pm. All ages and voices are welcomed and needed (no auditions). Praise Team. The Praise Team (open to youth and adults) leads the music at the 9:00am worship service. It practices on Wednesday nights from 6:00-7:00pm in Harvin Hall (nursery provided). |
