SUMMER 9AM &11AM CHILDREN’S CHURCH: We need your help! Summer is almost here, and in order to give our “regular” children’s teachers some well deserved rest, we are asking YOU to consider teaching for a week or two, anytime between June 1st and August 31st. The curriculum for the summer is very “user-friendly” and will be fun not only for the children, but for you, too! Little or no time is spent in preparation for the class – it is easy to teach the summer curriculum! If you have a love of children, but don’t want to make a “long-term” commitment to teaching, this is your opportunity to enjoy the company of our precious little ones for a summer Sunday or two! PLEASE SIGN UP ON THE BULLETIN BOARD BY THE ASK-ME-DESK ASAP! THANK YOU FOR YOUR DEDICATION TO OUR CHILDREN!

For more info, contact Margaret Samuels, Pastor Susan or Michelle Isaac.

YOUTH DINNER THEATRE: On Friday Night, May 16th, the youth will present a Dinner Theater Variety Show from 7-9 pm. Youth will display their musical and dramatic talent, with dinner served. Tickets go on sale today, in the courtyard, after both services.

WORK & WORSHIP DAY AT CAMP MONTGOMERY: You are invited to gather at Camp Montgomery with others from around the Presbytery at 10:00am on Saturday, May 17th. We will begin with a brief worship time, engage in a meaningful work project to enhance the camp, share the noon meal together, and you will be on your way home by 3:00pm! For information, contact Ray Adams at 398-4253, the Presbytery office at 733-8277, or just show up at 10am at the camp on October 20! Thank you for participating!

SANCTUARY ORGAN UPDATE: We are getting closer and closer to completion! Darwin Klug, who is refurbishing our organ, will be in worship with us Memorial Day weekend, next Sunday, May 25th and will be available after the 11:00 am service to meet with people in the chancel and answer any and all questions they have about the new organ! Plan on staying after the service for this exciting conversation with Darwin! You will be glad you did!

Back by popular demand…The Wrestler’s Summer Intergenerational Class!

AN OPEN BOOK: FOR HEARTS OF ALL AGES

For each Sunday of June, July, and August the Wrestler’s Sunday school class is opening its doors to book-loving Christians of all ages. We invite everyone to join in the reading of a variety of children’s picture books selected by individual adults who find their message inspirational in their own lives. A wide variety of presenters will prepare interesting activities based upon their chosen picture book. For children it is an opportunity to enjoy lessons with a variety of adults they may not otherwise have the chance to meet. For adults it is the chance to get to know the future of our congregation and to share in the childish joy of summer. The regular members of the Wrestlers Sunday school class will be on hand each week, interacting with the kids, rediscovering their youth and spreading Christian love to all who join us. Non-Wrestler adults are encouraged to participate in the weekly discussion and activities and are invited to share their favorite children’s picture book as well. For information on how you can be part of the fun, contact Cindy Cheatwood, 269-8850 or ckcheatwood@hotmail.com The fun begins June 1st at 10:00 am on the 3rd floor!
