At The Center Of Family Life…
Worship and education are at the center of family life at South Jacksonville Presbyterian Church.
South Jacksonville Presbyterian Church has two Sunday morning worship services, our Contemporary 9AM and Traditional 11AM. Both are vibrant, inspiring, and Christ-centered. The lifelong believer, the new Christian and individuals who are “searching” will feel welcome and at home at these services. In the summer, there is one combined service known as our “Ten at Ten” series. These 10 summer services take place roughly between Independence Day and Labor Day.
The Contemporary 9AM service is a shorter and more casual worship service. It incorporates contemporary music, and is held in our Fellowship Hall. A projector displays the words to the songs on a large screen at the front of the room. Most people dress informally for this service.
Our Traditional 11AM service is a more structured order of worship including a variety of beautiful music with a full choir and organ. Our pastors deliver thoughtful and inspiring messages at both services.
Music is an important part of all worship services. Participation in our choirs and instrumental groups provides an opportunity for people of all ages to praise God through music and to experience friendship and fellowship in a small group setting. Large-print hymnals are available from the ushers so that everyone may have an opportunity to participate in singing their favorite songs and hymns.
Tapes and CDs of Sunday worship services are available. CD’s of the Contemporary 9AM service are available for $3.00. Tapes of the Traditional 11AM service are available for $3.00.
